Why Choose Us?

We are experienced Hearing Professionals

Richmond, Kanata and Stittsville’s independent Doctor of Audiology, Sean Lennox. We are locally owned and operated by a Doctor of Audiology with 15 years of experience in the industry. We are completely FREE from the large chain store directives that focus only on sales and not YOU.

Our Hearing Instrument Specialist, Victoria Lennox, has many years of experience working in the Ottawa Valley, and an excellent track record helping her clients optimize their hearing and communication.

We are locally owned and independent

We are 100% locally owned (Ottawa West Born and raised!) and we understand what makes this part of Ottawa so amazing.

Why not Choose an independent locally owned clinic? Most hearing clinics are owned by multinationals in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland.

We offer a full range of Audiology services

In addition to hearing loss assessment and treatment, we offer dizziness assessments, help with tinnitus and sound sensitivity, as well as earwax management. Our hearing aid fitting and servicing is part of an overall hearing improvement plan that focuses on adaptation, relationship building, and rapport. We work with you, get to know you, and find a great option for you always mindful of your budget.

A Doctor of Audiology has pursued education past the master’s level required for an audiology license in Ontario. If you are comparing the local clinics why not go to the clinic with an Doctor of Audiology?

Patient and respectful with all clients

We believe that no matter your age or demographics you can lead a better and more richly filled life when you hear your world, your family, and your friends.

Big corporate clinic settings are rushed, impersonal, and often more expensive (given inflated overhead of management / head office). These are the main reasons we ventured out on our own, to provide an alternative solution where the client feels heard, understood, and never rushed.

You will be treated like family at Bright Hearing and Tinnitus centre. This means we will get to know your own unique listening challenges and comfortably guide you through the entire process with empathy and kindness.

I was born and raised in Ottawa West and I am proud to be a lifer in this great city. I graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology in 2007. Following this, I moved on to Vancouver, British Columbia to complete a Master of Science (Audiology and Speech Sciences). Lastly, I obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Audiology (AuD.) from the University of Florida (Go Gators). I have taken further courses on tinnitus, sound sensitivity, vestibular assessment/dizziness, and hearing cognition. I have advanced clinical training in vestibular assessment and management (dizziness) with the American Institute of Balance (www.dizzy.com) to better serve patients experiencing dizziness post-concussion or with other brain injuries.

I have worked clinically serving patients in Kanata, Stittsville, Perth, Carleton Place, and all of Ottawa West for around 15 years helping thousands of patients over the years.

My clinical research interests as borne out in my published literature include Balance Disorders in Aging, Alport’s syndrome, Acoustic Shock Disorder, Superior Canal Dehiscence, and Multiple Sclerosis. I am a fully registered and licensed Audiologist with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario. I currently live in Kanata with my wife and four children. I enjoy reading when I have free time, but also love to swim and golf and help coach my kids in hockey and soccer.
